I am somebody

Charidy Rose

Grade 6

I am somebody,

Not a nobody,

Do you understand me?

Can’t you see?

No one understands me,

It’s like a hobby,

I am somebody,

Not a nobody.

People try to say I’m a nobody,

But I tell them I’m somebody,

It’s hard to see,

that that can be.

They try to copy me,

They call me Mr. Wise Lee,

It is not the same way that they see me,

I try to hide my face from the twisted seaweed.

I try to be myself,

But it’s not working,

I try to make friends,

 But I’m slacking.

I can’t deal with it anymore,

I feel like I was just torn,

Then I tried being someone else,

It didn’t even work.

I tried to stay in character,

I tried to stay straight up,

I kept myself strong,

I did it so long.

But it is time to quit,

It is time to stop the nonsense,

I can’t go any longer,

I need to get a little bit stronger.

I need more sight,

I need more time,

It’s hard to decide,

It’s like I’m loosing my mind.

It’s time to change my mind,

No more bullying,

No more stopping me,

No more baby.

It’s time for me,

To make up my mind,

Am I going to do something,

About the situation?

I keep myself strong,

For so long,

It’s time to quit,

Time to quit it.

I can’t go anymore,

It’s hard to decide,

To make up my mind.
